Remembrance Sunday is a day for the nation to remember and honour all those who sacrificed their lives to secure and protect our freedom.
A town centre event, in partnership with the Royal British Legion, commemorates those who served in all wars.
A procession from the Town Hall at 10.30am and a service, wreath-laying ceremony and two minutes silence at the cenotaph, is followed by a service at Biddulph Methodist Church.
On Armistice Day (11 November), we meet at the cenotaph at 10.50am for a period of reflection and remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday 2021
After a year where we couldn’t commemorate the fallen together, it was lovely for our community to come together at our Remembrance Day Parade 2021. Services returned as normal both on Thursday (11th November) and Remembrance Sunday (14th November).
Remembrance Sunday 2020
Despite restrictions imposed by Covid-19, the service went ahead, but was smaller in size than in previous years. We filmed the event and shared the footage to our Facebook account.
