Council grants enable organisations, voluntary groups and individuals to access funding to support projects, activities, educational experiences, new opportunities and innovations which benefit Biddulph residents.
The Council’s current priorities for funding are:
- Young people (aged 13-19)
- Carers
- Opportunities to provide food and personal items to those experiencing poverty
- People at risk of loneliness and isolation
- Opportunities providing educational experiences
- Provision to improve social welfare and community cohesion
- New initiatives established to bridge a gap in current service provision within the town
- Environmental initiatives
Biddulph Town Council operates two grant schemes throughout the year:
1) Town Council Grants Scheme
2) Town Councillor’s Community Grants Fund
Grants are allocated at the discretion of the Council and in accordance with the agreed strategic objectives.
The Policy that details the distribution of grant funding can be found here: Grants Policy
We recommend applicants thoroughly read the Grants Policy before making an application and contact us if you need advice.
Town Council Grants Scheme
Grants are allocated at the June Finance Strategy and Management Committee meeting each year.
Each year, applications are welcomed for grants between £30 and £2,000. Larger amounts may be considered in exceptional circumstances. Only one application will be considered per organisation per financial year.
This scheme is currently open for applications. The deadline for return of applications is Friday 14 June 2024, 5pm.
Applications received after the deadline will not be considered until the next round of funding takes place.

Town Councillors may receive grant applications for up to £250 each. A number of Councillors may combine their allocations to create a larger award.

Grants Scheme Evaluation
Biddulph Town Council monitors the success and impact of every grant awarded. It is from evaluations that we learn about how successful projects have been. This knowledge helps us to be accountable and to consistently improve our grant-making process.
If your grant application is successful, you will be required to complete an evaluation form. These forms are here:
